The Chief Architect User Group met once again for its Xmas luncheon on Wednesday December 4th. It is always a grand affair and as usual we dined at the Atrium Restaurant in the Burswood Entertainment Complex. Twenty nine members and partners were in attendance and we dined on the house’s Special Xmas Lunch Buffet. It was sumptuous food and the conversation and fellowship flowed freely. It is always an extra treat to take home a couple of bottles of wine as a Christmas treat from the management and for those interested in visiting the Casino there were plenty of free vouchers to help make it a good afternoon.
Our group is still going strong and the membership seems to be very stable. We always have one or two new member and this year is no different. We all seem to agree that our Chief Architect program is still the best thing since sliced bread. Members do extraordinary work with the program and it keeps improving to make it easier and simpler to use.
I will include a few images below to highlight a new restaurant and winery that is being planned by a young couple on their property at Pickering Brook.
The development is basically new but will incorporate an existing production shed into the complex. Eventually my clients hope to renovate an existing tumble down wooden shed that includes the original dwelling that their forebears lived in. It includes a bedroom area that basically slept the whole family and a room underneath that was used for cooking with an extended area for dining.
The idea is to restore the ramshackle building back to how it might have looked and fill the shed with museum pieces for display. The existing home that their parents currently live in will eventually be renovated and modified to allow overnight accommodation. The family will sell produce from the farm and will specialise in Italian style food and wine.
The slogan for the establishment is:
“Conversations with Italy”
